EVERYONE’S HEALTH & SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY AS WE LOOK FORWARD TO BEING BACK IN PERSON FOR THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL. All attendees are required to fully comply with CDC, State of Virginia and festival requirements and protocols regarding Covid-19.
IMPORTANT: All MFF attendees (including filmgoers, staff, volunteers, and special guests) must show proof of vaccination AND proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours of attending the festival. (More information on testing below.)
PROOF OF VACCINATION
Please bring a valid vaccination card or a photo/photocopy of your card, or a digital vaccine record (e.g., my vaccine record.cdph.ca.gov) with a matching valid photo ID. The Clear mobile app is also acceptable.
Pass-holders will need to provide both proof of vaccination AND a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of the start of the festival (Thursday, October 14). Every member of your group must appear in person to pick up their pass. In addition to your pass, you will receive a wristband which signifies that you have provided the required. documentation.
Individual ticket holders will be required to show proof of vaccination AND a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of your first film screening before being permitted entry to any theater or conversation venue. Note: Once you show this proof, you will receive a wrist band that will be accepted at any future screenings you are attending during the festival.
Additional safety protocols:
We will have a rapid antigen testing site set up at Salamander Resort beginning Thursday, Oct. 14 and running through the end of the day on Sunday, Oct. 17. The testing will be done by Express Healthcare. The cost of testing is $ 80/per person for onsite testing (any insurance and the government will cover this cost). You may register in advance for Salamander Resort onsite testing at expresshealthcaredc.com/events-and-schools
Note: In order to avoid any waiting time (even if you’ve pre-registered), we encourage everyone to arrive at the festival having already been tested.
Acceptable COVID tests include PCR & Antigen tests conducted by a pharmacy, reputable testing center or lab. PCR is the most accurate test. You can also do a rapid antigen test such as Lucira or BinaxNOW that allows you to register your information and receive written proof of your test result.
